garage sales!!

Well, I haven't posted any thrifty ideas yet, besides recipes. 

It is garage sale season, so I was patient with my patched/patched/ripped/ripped sheets.  I'm not a huge shopper, so for me it's easier to find great deals at garage sales.  I didn't find any new sheets at the citywide sales. So, I told mom what i was looking for and wa-la, she came home with 2 sets, and cute colors too!

Put out your hard to get rid of stuff in the driveway with free sign, it's cheaper than a dumpster...works well during big local events.
Pass hand me downs to friends/relatives

Garage sale advice:
>> Ride with a friend, saves $ on gas and it's fun!
>>Make a list of what the kids and the hubby and the self needs/wants and bring it with!
>>Keep a list of where (and date) you have good luck to remember for next year.
>> If they're asking too much for something you want, give them your phone # so they can call you if it doesn't sell.
>>Get rid of your grungy stuff to make room for something fresh!
...When you see a good sale, push everyone out of your way and RUN for the gold!  ha ha, I wouldn't do that...
