My favorite breakfast recipes

Homemade Granola                           from Mari Pieti
4 c. rolled oats
1 c. unsweetened coconuts
1/4 c. sesame seeds
3/4 sunflower seeds
( I grind the seeds and coconuts in my coffee grinder and cut back on coconut)
1/2 c. wheat germ
2/3 c. honey
1/4 c.oil
1 c. nuts (i use chopped almonds)
Mix honey and oil and slowly add to dry mixture.
* I sometimes add p.butter or almond butter for more flavor or protein.
* I also add a little corn syrup or a little sweetness.
*If you like some clusters of granola, use 1 c. quick oats instead of rolled.
Grease jelly roll pan, spread granola mixture, bake for 1 1/2 hours or until crispy.  Stir corners every 30 min.   Bake at 250'  Cool.  Stays fresh for a good month.
We eat almost daily with milk, or yogurt and fruit.
Good healthy way to start your day or good for a snack!
