birthdays

This is the fourth birthday cake we will be eating today in the last week!  And more to come.  I think I will be an expert cake maker by Valentines day.  Although I actually only made one of them so far.  (But I also made cupcakes for the skating party.)  The one cake I made so far was a dirt cake with green frosting (paid $.15 at Target after Christmas)  with crushed oreos, leftover from our trip to the U.P., and some gummy worms.  It was a thrifty hit, with not a lot of work.  I couldn't decide which kind of cake I would actually want if I had the choice for my own birthday (which is today.)  So, I stopped at the store and bought some carmel sauce, and a few candy bars (the ones on sale, of course) and we made ice cream sundaes.  Yum!  My hubby did make me a cake today that we will be eating tonight.  Don't know if I'll be having any.  I already ate quite a bit of icecream, covered in carmel sauce, snickers, twix and more leftover oreos.  Whoa... here I come Snap Fitness.
